Financial support opportunities to help you achieve your academic goals at TTU.

Takoradi Technical University and its partners offer a range of financial aid opportunities for prospective and continuing students. These include government scholarship schemes, institutional bursaries, corporate sponsorships and international funding opportunities.

Government

Ghana Scholarship Secretariat (GSS)

The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat awards scholarships to brilliant but needy students for studies at accredited Ghanaian universities including TTU. These include undergraduate and graduate scholarships funded by the Government of Ghana.

Government

Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund)

GETFund provides scholarships to Ghanaian students at all levels of education including tertiary. Awards are merit-based with preference given to students from deprived communities and those in technical and vocational programmes.

Institutional

TTU Bursary Fund

TTU's own Bursary Fund provides financial support to continuing students in genuine financial difficulty. Bursaries are awarded based on need and satisfactory academic progress. Students apply through the Dean of Students Affairs Office.

Demonstrated financial hardship
Application supported by supporting documentation
Apply through the Dean of Students Affairs Office. Applications reviewed each semester.
Industry

Oil & Gas Sector Scholarships

Several oil and gas companies operating in Ghana's Western Region offer scholarships and sponsorships to students at TTU, particularly those in engineering, petroleum technology and related programmes. Companies include Tullow Oil, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and others.

International

Erasmus+ Scholarships

Through TTU's international partnerships, select students may access Erasmus+ mobility funding for study or research visits to partner universities in Europe. Eligible students apply through the International Programmes Directorate.

Loan

Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF)

The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) provides low-interest loans to Ghanaian students in tertiary institutions to cover tuition fees and living expenses. Loans are repaid after graduation once the student is employed.
