International Admissions Process

Choose Your Programme

Browse TTU's undergraduate, graduate and diploma programmes and confirm your qualifications match the entry requirements. See the Academics page for the full programme list.

Check Equivalency

Have your qualifications assessed for equivalency with Ghanaian academic standards. The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) or TTU's International Programmes Directorate can advise.

Prepare Documents

Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts, two reference letters, personal statement, passport bio-data page, health certificate and language proficiency evidence (if required).

Apply Online

Submit your application through the TTU Admissions Portal. International applicants pay USD 50 for the application form. All supporting documents must be uploaded in PDF format.

Receive Admission Letter

Successful applicants receive an official Admission Letter by email. Use this letter to apply for your Ghanaian student visa at the nearest Ghana Embassy or High Commission.

Arrive & Register

Report to TTU's International Programmes Office on arrival with all original documents. Register for your programme and complete orientation before the start of lectures.

Tuition: USD 1,500–3,500 per semester (varies by programme)
Application fee: USD 50 (non-refundable)
Accommodation: USD 300–600 per semester
International student levy: USD 150 per semester
Payments accepted in GHS, USD or GBP equivalent

Ghana Student Visa (Class G permit) required
Apply at nearest Ghana Embassy with TTU Admission Letter
Residence permit must be renewed annually
GIPC investor permit available for long-term students
TTU International Office assists with permit renewals

Climate

Warm tropical climate year-round. Dry season: Nov–Apr. Rainy season: May–Oct. Temperature: 25–32°C.
