TTU staff wins 2022 WMA best new artiste award

A Takoradi Technical University staff with the Internal Audit Directorate, Ruth Ackaah-Gyasi, has been adjudged the Best New Artiste of the year at the 2022 Western Regional Music Awards held at the Best Western Atlantic Hotel. Ruth Ackaah-Gyasi who is a Gospel Musician and married with three (3) children fellowships at the Church of Pentecost, PIWC Takoradi.

Speaking after presenting the plaque of recognition of her achievements to the Vice Chancellor of TTU, Prof. John Frank Eshun, Ruth said her success with music is due to her efficient time management with work.

“How I am able to excel in both my profession and then my music career all boils down to hardwork and time management which is purely by the grace of God. As a family person with three kids who has a work to attend to and a music career as well, it’s all about time management and I sacrifice most of my sleep to do things that needs to be done before the day begins”, she said.

While also presenting her award to other officers of the University including the Registrar, Dr. Moses McLean Abnory, Ruth said the purpose for her music ministry is to lift the name of Jesus higher and promised to do more with this new achieved feet.

“I pray to God that the music of Ruth Ackaah-Gyasei will reach a larger audience and it will impact their lives . The lyrics in the song I pray positively impact the lives of many and reach far. I pray that the grace of God will be abundant to be able to come up with more inspirational songs that will impact generations to come”, she added.

Ruth Ackaah-Gyasi who was appreciative to management and staff of TTU for their support and encouragement in her work and music career also received praise from the Vice Chancellor of TTU, Prof. John Frank Eshun and members of staff for bringing honours to the university.
