Background

Directorate of Research and Innovation Development (CRID) was established in April, 2017 to help transform the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) into a high-calibre research-focused institution of excellence by marshalling the requisite resources, facilitating capacitation and creating an enabling environment for research to thrive in the University.

Activities
As part of its activities, DRID:
1) writes proposals for funding to support further studies of University staff and to secure teaching and learning equipment.
2) scouts sources of funding for academic research and related activities and informs faculty periodically about research and funding opportunities and sources.
3) compiles information on research and development facilities at the University for onward submission to the Petroleum Commission.
4) compiles data on staff qualifications and research interests.
