TTU PLACE SECOND IN NATIONAL COOKING CONTEST

Takoradi Technical University has placed 2nd in a cooking competition among the Technical Universities organized by the American Poultry and Egg Export Council held at the Labadi Beach Resort.

Prior to the competition, the organizers trained the contestants for two days on the use of egg-yolk-powder and egg-white-powder eggs from chicken, turkey and duck before the cooking competition on the third day.

The TTU contingent from the Hospitality, Catering  and Institutional Management Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences who beat seven other participating universities to place second after KTU, included Wonder Kwasi Attisogbui and Emmanuel Thompson, with Lordson Damoah as their Coach.

The second placed Takoradi Technical University team was awarded with a set of cooking wares including set of blenders and electronic scales.

Head of the Hospitality, Catering and Institutional Management Department, Dr. Adelaide Spio-Kwofie when presenting the award to the Vice-Chancellor of TTU after the competition, praised the TTU team for making the University proud and assured that many good things were on its way from the department.

The Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun after receiving the award congratulated the team for placing second in such a national competition and assured the Department that management will support them in whatever they do to advance the vision TTU into becoming a true Centre of excellence in TVET education at the highest level.  

Also at the presentation was the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victor Bondzie Micah.
