TTU GUEST HOUSE COMMENCES OPERATION IN ACCRA

Takoradi Technical University has officially opened its newly acquired Guest House at a short ceremony in Accra. The eight-bedroom capacity Guest House located at Spintex near the Entrance University is equipped with state-of-the art facilities including a swimming pool, large space reception area, a kitchen, large compound for car parking among others.

The first of its kind TTU Guest House which will serve as a transit house for TTU staff and visitors as well as be opened to the public is in fulfilment of the TTU 5-year strategic plan which seeks to enhance infrastructural and facility development in the University.

Chairman of the TTU Governing Council, Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, who led the commissioning of the TTU Guest House on Friday 19th April 2024, congratulated Management and expressed appreciation to the Council for the support given to him and the Management to be able to acquire such a magnificent edifice. He said such a feat is “no mean an achievement”.

The Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, in his remarks expressed joy for what the University has achieved under his leadership which is also in fulfilment of the long awaited dream.

“This has been on my heart since I was first sworn in as the Rector and later the Vice-Chancellor and I must say, it is a dream come true”.

The Registrar of the University, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory who led the Council and Management round the facility introduced the interim staff who will manage the facility to Council.

The occasion was also graced by the Council members of the University. Also, in attendance were the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah, Dr. Gabriel Sam Ahinful, the Director of Finance, Ms. Elizabeth Obeng, the Director of Internal Audit as well as Mr. Paapa Kwamina Fynn who is the Acting Librarian.
