TTU SIGNS MOU WITH CIFIA-GHANA TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL DEV’T.

Takoradi Technical University, TTU, through its Faculty of Business Studies, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Chartered Institute of Financial Investment Analysts-Ghana, CIFIA-Ghana.

The MoU is to provide professional training and certification opportunities for both staff and students pursuing accounting, banking, and finance-related programmes.

The Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, expressed his support for the partnership, stating how it falls within the University’s mandate.

“I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to Takoradi Technical University. As you are aware, our mandate requires us to collaborate with professional bodies to help our students build capacity. Your presence here is a step in the right direction, and we will ensure the MoU succeed.” he expressed.

Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Prof. Mrs. Abigail Gura, emphasizing the partnership’s alignment with the faculty’s vision for professional advancement, said it will not only benefit students and staff of the faculty, but the entire University.

Through this partnership, there are numerous opportunities that faculty members, students, and even administrators can access. This is a professional body where acquiring a professional certificate alongside an academic degree is a significant advantage, “she said

On his part, Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Financial Investment Analysts-Ghana, Dr. Gabriel Odeh Apotey, while sharing his optimism about the collaboration during the signing ceremony, expressed confidence that the partnership would flourish and bring substantial benefits to both parties. He highlighted that students and staff who enrol under the partnership would enjoy exemptions related to fee payments and examinations.

Dr. Apotey also conferred honorary Fellowships of the institute on the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar of TTU.
