The Technical University Administrators Association of Ghana, TUAAG, chapter of Takoradi Technical University, TTU has sworn-in its newly elected executive members to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.
The executive members sworn-in includes Elizabeth Yeboah-President, Daniel Aggrey-Vice President, David Yaro-Organizer, Dennsion Arthur-Baidoo-Treasurer, and Bridgit Garchie-Secretary.
The Registrar of TTU, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, speaking at the induction ceremony encouraged peaceful collaboration and partnership within the association. He urged members and administrators to avoid toxic behaviours that undermine one another.

“Unions now approach their dealings through collaboration. It’s no longer about ‘choobue’; it’s about putting ideas together to see how best we can partner to achieve our organizational goals. I see signs of that, but sometimes, in our part of the world, you need a mixture of different styles to see the union thrive. I’m pleading with you—enough of the toxicity, where we destroy people with our words. You don’t have to like me to work with me, but at least be professional in how we conduct ourselves,” he urged.

Newly elected TUAAG President and the first female to lead the Union, Elizabeth Yeboah, expressed her gratitude to her fellow members and outgoing executives for their support and for giving her the opportunity to lead.

Recognizing the challenges that come with her new role, she promised to ensure accountability, transparency, and adherence to the values of solidarity. She also pledged to address pressing issues currently facing the union.
Madam Yeboah, therefore, called for the support of all TUAAG members to build a brighter future for the union and the University.

Outgoing President, David Amufa commended his outgoing executives for their selfless dedication and commitment to the association. While outlining some achievements and challenges faced during his tenure, he urged members to support the new executives, as the journey ahead would not be easy.
“We successfully embarked on a membership drive to encourage members to join the association and attend meetings, enhanced our end-of-year packages, fully participated in the University’s 70th anniversary, and worked with the national body to introduce the payment of the University senior staff allowance and domestic security allowance. However, challenges such as the lack of a secretariat remain. It is not going to be easy, but with the support of your executives, the general membership, and management, you should sail through and effectively deliver on your mandate,” he stated.

Deans, Directors and other union executives at the swearing took turns to congratulate the new executives and advised them to lead with selflessness, loyalty and hard work.
