Takoradi Technical University has reaffirmed its commitment towards sustainable development and technological advancement by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with Sustainable Planners International and also renewing its existing relationship with Mexx Multimedia.
The MoU with Sustainable Planners International, is aimed at promoting climate change awareness and sustainability. The focus will be on training young people and those in the business arena, as well as advocating for climate change, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship.
The renewal of the MoU with Mexx Multimedia on the other hand marks the continuation of a fruitful partnership focused on enhancing the University’s Center for Languages and Liberal Studies and its technological capabilities. This renewed agreement will further bolster TTU’s efforts in providing cutting-edge training and resources to its students, fostering innovation in multimedia and digital technologies.
Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, while appreciating the parties for building these collaborations with the University, urged them to document their achievements during the period.
“You need to gather data on your achievements after signing the MoU. We are going to evaluate all our MoU’s because GTECH has requested outcomes from all the MoU’s we have signed, so that we can discontinue those that are not effective,” he urged.
An Environmentalist with the Sustainable Planners International, Lord-Lucas Vodzi, also expressed appreciation for the new relationship but hoped for the establishment of a climate and sustainability center at the University.
CEO of Mexx Multimedia, Mark Turkson on his part highlighted some achievements made since the previous MoU.
