TTU RANKED NO. 1 TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IN GHANA IN 2026 AD SCIENTIFIC INDEX

Takoradi Technical University, TTU, has been ranked the No. 1 Technical University in Ghana and 13th among all public universities in the newly released 2026 AD Scientific Index (University and Scientist Rankings).

The achievement reflects TTU’s growing reputation for excellence in research, innovation, and academic impact, marking a significant milestone in its advancement as a leading institution of higher learning in Ghana.

The AD Scientific Index is globally recognized as the only ranking system that evaluates over 24,525 institutions using near real-time data. It assesses universities and research institutions through key performance indicators such as the total and recent five-year H-index, i10 index, and citation counts, which collectively measure the productivity and influence of scholarly research.

In Ghana, the 2026 edition of the Index features 67 universities, comprising 31 public universities (including ten technical universities), 36 private universities, 13 research institutions, 3 companies, and 3 hospitals. Within this competitive national ranking, TTU emerged as the top-ranked technical university, reaffirming its position as a research-active and innovation-driven institution.
