TTU PARTNERS MK CONCIERGE ON INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE

Takoradi Technical University, TTU, has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with MK Concierge Services Limited to establish academic and professional collaborations with Universities in Singapore. The agreement aims to provide students and staff of TTU with opportunities for internships, exchange programmes and research collaborations in Singapore.

Under this partnership, MK Concierge Services will facilitate critical logistical services such as accommodation, transportation and visa procurement, enabling staff and students to gain valuable international exposure.

The Vice Chancellor of Takoradi Technical University, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, expressed joy as TTU becomes the first institution to sign the pact, stating that the MoU will further strengthen educational ties between Ghana and Singapore.

“The signing of the MoU between TTU and MK Concierge Services Ltd is expected to strengthen the partnership between the two countries, especially in the education sector. TTU is proud to be the first to sign the MoU with you. As indicated by the new Minister of Education during your visit to Ghana in March this year, other Ghanaian higher educational institutions will follow the MoU between us is signed,” he said.

He mentioned that the partnership aligns with the University’s mandate of fostering academic and professional development for both students and staff.

“Most importantly, this partnership aligns perfectly with our vision to equip our students with academic knowledge and access to global opportunities in the world of work. As an institution, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment of continuous learning, growth, and professional development,” he added.

Rev. Prof. Eshun, while expressing gratitude, said he looks forward to a fruitful and long-lasting relationship.

Director of MK Concierge Services Limited, Ms. Kohe Hasa, who and her team joined the MoU via Zoom, highlighted the pivotal role of education in national development and expressed gratitude for TTU’s confidence in the partnership, describing the agreement as the foundation for broader cooperation between Ghana and Singapore.

“The key importance of a country is the education of its people, and to me, education is the cornerstone of any thriving nation. Through this MoU, it is hoped that we can start building collaboration between Ghana and Singapore. This will not only be an agreement between TTU and MKS but will also serve as a blueprint for other universities to establish similar collaborations. So, I’m extremely grateful to TTU for having the confidence to sign this collaboration with us. This is just the beginning for us to do many more things together,” she stated.

CEO of MK Concierge Services Limited, Ms. Shabana M. Hasan, emphasized that the MoU goes beyond a formal agreement, underscoring their commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and career advancement for students and professionals.

MK Concierge Services through this partnership is expected to also create a platform for TTU to engage with world-class institutions in Singapore, enhancing learning experiences and preparing students and staff for leadership roles globally.
