Takoradi Technical University, TTU, has held an exciting Health-walk and Painting as a prelude to climaxing the year-long 70th Anniversary Celebrations. The health walk, which took place within the neighbourhood of the Business Studies BU campus, was led by the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, other members of management as well as hundreds of participants including Deans of Faculties, Heads of Department, staff and students.
The colourful health-walk that saw participants wore their beautiful 70th Anniversary branded T-Shirts amidst singing and dancing, was aimed to encourage physical fitness and healthy lifestyle, while also fostering a sense of community within the University.
The Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, expressed excitement about the massive turnout of students and staff while reflecting on the impact the University has had over the past 70 years.
He also hoped that staff and students will continue to play their part to ensure a continued growth of the University.
In addition to the health-walk was the beautiful painting of the Faculty of Business Studies’ BU campus, in a bid to refresh the campus environment.
Other activities earmarked to climax the TTU 70th Anniversary this week includes Inter-Faculty Quiz Competition on Wednesday 27th November 2024, Technology Fair and Inaugural Lecture on Thursday 28th November 2024, a Grand Durbar and Unveiling of Projects on Friday 29th November 2024, Awards and Dinner Night on Saturday 30th November, 2024 and finally a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday December 1st, 2024.
