JANE MEMBONG WINS SPORTS PERSONALITY AT 2ND TTU SPORTS AWARDS

Jane Membong, a B-Tech Tourism student of Takoradi Technical University has been crowned the overall Sports Personality at the 2nd edition of the TTU Sports Awards Night held at the University on Wednesday 14th August 2025.

Membong, led TTU to win gold medals in the 1,500m and 3,000m athletics disciplines, enabling TTU to win the 2025 GHATUSA Games with 10 Gold, 12 Silver and 8 Bronze. She received special citations and a cash prize.

Forty-four citations were presented to distinguished sports personalities and 145 certificates for all participating sportsmen and women at 2025 GHATUSA Games.

The Vice Chancellor of TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, who was awarded with a Star Award for his leadership role in sports development at the University, commended the awardees and their coaches for their distinguished performance and helping push the TTU brand worldwide. He however promised that sports development will continue to receive critical attention and funding under his administration.
