The Department of Textile Design and Technology trains students in fabric design, weaving, dyeing, printing and textile manufacturing processes. Graduates contribute to Ghana's thriving textile and fashion industries.
Programmes Offered
M.Tech Industrial Art – Textiles
A two-year postgraduate programme offering advanced study in textile design, weaving, dyeing, printing technology and industrial textile production management.
Entry: B.Tech or BA in Industrial Art (Textiles) or related discipline.
B.Tech Textile Design and Technology
A four-year degree in fabric design, weaving, dyeing, textile printing and apparel manufacturing for the textile and fashion industries.
Entry: HND Textile Design or related qualification.
HND Textile Design and Technology
A three-year Higher National Diploma in fabric design, weaving, batik, adinkra printing and textile production.
Entry: WASSCE with credits in English, Mathematics and three electives.
