Takoradi Technical University, TTU, on tomorrow November 10th, 2021 will be looking forward to finally establish its supremacy over University of Cape Coast, UCC and University of Mines and Technology, UMaT, on its resourcefulness when it comes to knowledge in the petroleum sector.

This will be made possible when four first year TTU B-Tech student contestants take the stage to wave the TTU flag against UCC and UMaT in the zone 3 contest of the Gas Challenge which will be hosted on Wednesday at the Takoradi Technical University auditorium.

The four contestants to end UMaT’s hope to retain the Gas Challenge trophy and UCC’s ambition to ever win the finals includes Lordina Nunoo, Aaron Erskine Yamoah, Francis Martey and Kwesi Akwaful who are pursuing Petroleum Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering.

Winners of the Zone 3 contest will join University of Ghana and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the grand finale.

The Gas Challenge is an inter-tertiary level quiz competition initiative by the Ghana National Gas Company to deepen students understanding about their operations as well as Ghana’s Petroleum Industry to help develop students interest in the petroleum industry.
